With an aim to ‘give back to society’, IPPL has undertaken a wide range of CSR activities by supporting education, providing healthcare, and protecting the environment, which play an important role in the development of the country. The main focus of social welfare and rural community development measures of the company are health, education and environment.
To improve access to healthcare and serve poor and underprivileged communities, the company has supported hospitals and clinics in the state of West Bengal by providing healthcare services, such as construction of OT Complex, providing medical equipment and supplies etc.
The Company has also taken initiatives towards promoting education and skill development especially among children, women, elderly and the differently abled and livelihood enhancement projects by providing funds towards construction of school buildings, providing scholarships to poor and needy students under “NSDL Vidyasarathi Program”, specialized coaching classes to 30 meritorious underprivileged girl students in and around from various states of India under its project “INDIANOIL PETRONAS SUPER30”, providing furniture, appliances for training and educational materials to schools.
In addition to education and healthcare, the company also continues its efforts towards preserving the natural resources, developing green belt areas, and imparting training to employees on precautionary measures to reduce environmental pollution. IPPL advocates the cause of a pollution-free environment by projecting LPG as a viable, economical and eco-friendly alternative. IPPL has reached out and touched the lives of millions, enriching the quality of life and ensure a healthy and sustainable environment for future generations.

IPPL provided a ‘patient hoist’ to the Institute of Neuroscience, Kolkata. The institute provides neurological health care to sick and critical patients. This instrument is used to provide relief for patients with spinal, neurological GAIT disorders.
IPPL helped in by providing INK with an Oxygen Generator Plant which is capable of producing oxygen at 500 Litre Per Minute.
IPPL extended its helping hand by providing an ambulance to the Institute of Neuroscience, Kolkata for transportation of sick and disabled patients from their OPD to their main building.
IPPL extended support to Saroj Gupta Cancer Center and Research Institute in providing them with Plasma Sterilizer and Brachytherapy Equipment for treatment of cancer patients. Plasma sterilization is used in effective infection control for sterilization of surgical tools. A Brachytherapy machine is for treatment of cervical cancer.
The NSDL Vidyasarathi Program, in association with IPPL, provided scholarships to nearly 169 students from class 8 to 12 who come from poor families.
The project aimed at providing specialized coaching classes to the 30 meritorious underprivileged girl students in and around from various states of India. The selection process was conducted at various districts of West Bengal, Bihar, and Jharkhand. The first batch of the INDIANOIL PETRONAS PRIVATE LIMITED’s SUPER30 project was completed on 30 September 2022 and most of the students have joined various premiere engineering institutions.
IPPL provided Ramakrishna Vivekananda Centenary College with 30 desktop computers for providing education to the poor students.
IPPL has financially assisted in providing appliances, and furniture to the computer training center of Nethrodaya, a social service institution which serves the visually challenged community by providing education, medical assistance and financial assistance.
IPPL, in collaboration with Nethrodaya, has constructed a park for the blind children studying there, with the aim to improve the mental strength and fortitude of the children.
In order to further the cause of women empowerment, IPPL, in association with Yug Sanskriti Nyas, has established 8 Agarbatti Manufacturing Machine at the Katoriya Panchayat of Banka, Bihar. These machines are being used to provide self-employment opportunities to the women who come from poor background.
On request of the honorable Minister of Irrigation and Waterways, Dr. Soumen Kumar Mahapatra, IPPL has provided 1000 pcs. tarpaulins to the flood affected households.
IPPL has been instrumental in the construction of 1 Lakh Litre Overhead Water Tank at KGL Prabhu Nagar for water storage and supply of fresh drinking water.
